About

ornl pond walking trail

The ORNL Guest House, located on the Oak Ridge National Laboratory campus, is in a natural setting that is restful after a long day. The atrium lobby gives you a full view of the surrounding area where you may spot deer and other local wildlife. During warm weather, you can enjoy sitting on the patio. It is a 5-minute drive to any part of the campus and a short walk to the Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) and the Center for Nanophase Materials Science (CNMS).

Oak Ridge’s Main Street shopping area, which has a number of eateries and shops, is approximately 15 – 17  minutes away; and you can avoid the rush-hour traffic of nearby Knoxville. Oak Ridge has a number of restaurants with a variety of cuisines. Visit the Explore Oak Ridge Where to Eat page to see what’s available. If you want to venture into a larger city, West Knoxville’s Turkey Creek and downtown Knoxville are just a 30 -40 minute drive away.
